JiYoung Park

Jiyoung is a seasoned nonprofit leader and educator. Prior to co-founding Creative Muse, Jiyoung led various youth and community based organizations in New York City. Most recently as the Director of Programs at the YWCA of Queens, an educational and social service organization servicing over 1000 children, families and community members in Flushing, Queens, Jiyoung expanded and codified social services, youth and adult programming, and program evaluations.  Before joining the YWCA, she served as a Director of Programs leading a team of experienced educators at the GO Project, serving over 700 children and their families through a holistic, comprehensive, year-round programming. During her time at GO, she supported the expansion of programs into new neighborhoods, and created the organization’s conceptual learning framework for grades K-8, which continues to be the foundation of GO’s learning approach today. Jiyoung started her career as a 4th grade teacher and transitioned into nonprofit work shortly after. She made her greatest contributions and impact to date when she joined Groundwork, now known as Good Shepherd Services, in East New York, Brooklyn, initially to partner with the UFT Charter School to develop and provide extended day programming for over 300 students, then quickly transitioned to serve as a Manager Director for elementary, middle and high school programs for the organization. Jiyoung has also worked abroad to provide English language learners with the opportunity to learn English through a progressive project-based learning model. In addition to her work in nonprofit and education, she is certified as a teacher in vinyasa and aerial yoga, and trained as a trauma informed mindfulness coach.
